The Patio Edit
Outdoor furniture worth keeping.
Most patio furniture advice is a showroom fantasy or a sponsored listicle. We compare materials, size sets for real patios, and do the cost-per-year-of-ownership math that fast-furniture brands hope you skip. If a piece won't survive your climate, we'll tell you before your money does.
How to Choose Patio Furniture That Survives Your Climate

The Patio Edit is for anyone who'd rather buy patio furniture once than rebuy it every three years. Our rule is simple: every recommendation carries cost-per-year-of-ownership math — purchase price divided by realistic lifespan, in your climate — and we name the fast-furniture failure modes (chipped powder-coat, rusting steel, "teak finish" that's stained acacia) that other sites gloss over.
We don't do showroom fantasies, sponsored top-tens, or all-at-once shopping lists. The phased patio — one good piece per season — beats the all-at-once cheap set every time. If you're new, the flagship guide above is the single best place to begin.
